One of my absolute favourite components when making jewellery just has to be Swarovski crystals. The fabulous Austrian crystals give the most amazing sparkle and just a few can add glitz to any piece of jewellery.
They work wonderfully well with gemstones, the natural beauty of semi precious stones somehow seems to be enhanced with Swarovski. Of course, you can add more if you really want to bling a piece up, but often all that is needed are a few.
Swarovski crystals come in the most dazzling array of colours, with new colours added to the palette every season. One of the most popular is Crystal AB, this is clear crystal coated with Aurora Borealis, which gives a rainbow of shimmers.
Swarovski crystals come in an assortment of sizes and shapes, from the tiniest 2mm bead, to the huge crystal pendants, as well as Butterflies, Flowers, Angel wings and much more.
Although I have never been to visit the Swarovski HQ myself, I have read a great deal about it and by all accounts it is a magical place to visit. Oh well....maybe one day!
